A Canberra City practice with a high quality client base consisting of a diverse range of businesses is seeking an equity partner or partners to acquire up to 70% of the equity of the firm. The opportunity has arisen as a result of the pending retirement of the senior partner in the practice. The practice has a number of long standing quality business clients that require an array of business services and tax work that would make the position interesting to the right candidate. The senior partner is prepared to stay on for the requisite period to mentor the new partner (if required) and transition the client base.

The position may suit an person who is a senior manager, associate or partner in another firm who is seeking more independance or career progression.
This position may also suit a sole practitioner who is seeking;
- the support of a fellow partner(s),
- improved profitability,
- to spend more time consulting with clients,
- access to a broader range of specialist client services, and
- more quality clients.
You should have a proven track record in business service / tax with a background in providing advice on a range of business related issues. Ideally you should be CPA or CA qualified.
You should enjoy working in a proactive environment and have a flexible working style which can anticipate future client requirements. Also the ability to build relationships with clients and identify opportunities for the Practice is essential for this appointment. You should have the ability to motivate staff and co-ordinate and lead a team.
