Our client is a highly respected and well-established Chartered Accounting firm with a strong reputation for quality advice, enduring client relationships, and a collaborative leadership culture. They are now seeking a commercially minded, relationship-driven professional to take on a key client-facing role within the practice.

This position will suit someone who enjoys being close to clients, leading from the front, and contributing meaningfully to both team development and broader firm growth. For the right individual, this is not simply a career move. It is a leadership opportunity with a credible pathway towards Equity and Directorship.

The Opportunity

You will take responsibility for a substantial and well-established client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser across a broad range of accounting, taxation, and business matters.

You will work closely with an experienced leadership team, contribute to the development of junior staff, and play a visible role in strengthening client relationships and identifying growth opportunities. The firm offers the systems, structure, and support to allow you to operate effectively while continuing to build your leadership profile.

This is an excellent role for someone who wants to combine technical capability with client influence, commercial contribution, and future leadership potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, trusted relationships and deliver a consistently high standard of client service
  • Support the growth of existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Review work and mentor junior team members, helping to lift capability and performance
  • Work closely with senior leadership on client strategy, advisory matters, and workflow management
  • Contribute to a professional, client-focused, and commercially minded team culture

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced public practice professional who is ready to step into a broader and more influential role.

You will likely offer:

  • A solid background in public practice business services and tax
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and reviewing the work of junior team members
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to strengthen and grow client relationships
  • A genuine ambition to build a long-term leadership career within a quality accounting firm
  • Strong Xero capability, with experience in practice management systems viewed favourably
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Full Australian working rights
