Rare remote-first equity opportunity for a CA/CPA to join a leading specialist advisory practice with immediate or short-term pathway to 20% partnership participation.

An outstanding opportunity exists for a career-focused Chartered Accountant or CPA to step into a senior commercial and advisory role with a clear pathway to acquire a 20% equity interest in a well-established specialist accounting practice.

The practice is a four-partner firm with approximately $4 million in fees and 25 staff, operating with modern cloud-based systems and a highly flexible remote-first working model. Candidates do not need to be based on the Sunshine Coast, however South East Queensland location is preferred given periodic meetings, client work and industry events.

The firm operates as a recognised specialist within its sector, advising buyers, sellers, developers and industry participants through a combination of financial verification reporting, vendor advisory work, feasibility analysis and broader commercial consulting assignments.

The opportunity would particularly suit a qualified accountant with both public practice and commercial experience who is capable of building deep sector expertise, managing client and referrer relationships, and becoming a visible industry specialist.

The role combines technical accounting capability with commercially focused advisory work and ongoing interaction with lawyers, valuers, finance brokers, agents and other industry referrers.

The proposed equity acquisition is expected to involve a 20% interest in the practice, with funding support anticipated through established banking relationships associated with the practice. The opportunity is expected to offer a strong long-term commercial return for the right candidate.

The arrangement may be structured as either:

• immediate entry into the partnership structure; or
• an option to acquire the equity interest within a short qualifying period, anticipated to be approximately three months.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant or CPA with strong analytical capability, confidence in dealing directly with business owners and advisers, and the commercial maturity to operate across both compliance and advisory environments.

Prior experience within the sector is not essential, however the successful person will need the capacity and appetite to quickly develop genuine specialist expertise and become actively involved in client relationships and industry engagement activities.
